The New York Times called Cleveland-based Les Délices “an early music group with an avant-garde appetite,” adding, “concerts and CDs by Les Délices are journeys of discovery.” Inspired by a creative process that brings together research, composition in historical styles, improvisation and artistic collaboration, Debra [Nagy, oboist] creates programs that “can’t help getting one listening and thinking in fresh ways.” (San Francisco Classical Voice)
This combination of baroque oboe and recorder, violins, gamba, and harpsichord artists will share their insights into baroque performance practices on original instruments and their exciting perspectives on the growing younger generation of early-music ensembles and repertoire.
While largely geared towards students, this event is free and open to the public.
Convenient hourly public parking for non-Boise State parking permit holders attending Music Department events is available just south of the Morrison Center in the Brady Street Garage for $3.25 per hour. Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted at the kiosk.
