Degrees and Advising
The Boise State Department of Music provides a comprehensive curriculum, while enabling students to explore and pursue individual interests.
Boise State Music DegreesAdmission, Auditions and Scholarships
Any Boise State Music student is eligible to receive a scholarship from the Department pending audition scores, participation and GPA. If you want to major or minor in music, you must audition or interview (depending on degree requirements) to be accepted into the department.
However, any student can participate in our ensembles — regardless of major. We have students from nearly every department on campus that continue to play their instrument or sing. While some ensembles merely require a placement audition, our top ensembles require an audition for entry.
