Bio

Mark Horton is a Lecturer in the First Year Writing Program at Boise State University where he teaches English 101, 101P, and 102.

He came back to Boise State University as a non-traditional student in 2012, and earned a Master’s and undergraduate degree in English Literature from Boise State University.

While attending Boise State University, he worked in the Writing Center: one of his proudest accomplishments and was a writing center consultant for nearly a decade.

Mark grew up in Emmett, Idaho. His parents had a cattle ranch and fruit orchard about ten miles west of Emmett. Growing up, his passions were ranching, playing football, and pursuing his passion for words and writing through the study of English.

Favorite thing about Boise State—is the feel and sense of community on campus. The sense of friendship, and intellectual engagement and support that is fostered here at Boise State University is more than precious.
