An avid traveler and writer, Elizabeth, a Lecturer in the English Department and SL Faculty Associate for the CTL, brings her love of the world into her classroom. She enjoys her work with all students, including her multilingual learners. She is a committed practitioner of Project-Based Service-Learning as she loves the notion of learning unbounded. From researching ravens on the North Slope of Alaska to chasing owls, Elizabeth has had a variety of different experiences that inform her teaching and writing. As the faculty adviser for BSU’s Freewrite creative writing club, Elizabeth believes in the power of community as a method of sourcing creativity. Elizabeth also works as a Writer in the Schools for the Log Cabin Literary Center and is a writer for the blog Nature Families. Elizabeth’s favorite part of teaching is connecting with her students and watching the way they engage with the world.
