Aziz F. Hasnain Scholarship for Underprivileged Students
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
- First generation
- Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)
- Submit an essay demonstrating obstacles to complete an education or challenges experienced which have delayed academic pursuits
- Demonstrate financial need. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Pursuing one of the following majors: Music; Art, Design and Visual Studies; Theatre, Film, and Creative Writing; Anthropology; Communication and Media; English; History; Philosophy; Sociology; Psychology; and World Languages. Majors in Interdisciplinary Studies and Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on arts, humanities and social sciences are also eligible.

The Department of World Languages American Sign Language Scholarship is for students with a minimum 3.0Â GPAÂ who are pursuing a minor in American Sign Language.
Arabic
Critical Language Scholarship
The CLS Program is part of a U.S. government effort to expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical foreign languages. Students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply. Participants are expected to continue their language study beyond the scholarship period, and later apply their critical language skills in their future professional careers.
Basque
Basque Language Scholarship (Boise State)
The Department of World Languages and Literature Basque Scholarship is for students with a declared minor in Basque Studies, who plan to enroll full-time (12Â UGRD, 9Â GRAD), and have a 3.00Â GPA.
Domingo Ansotegui/ Lynne Fereday Memorial Scholarship
The Domingo Ansotegui/ Lynne Fereday Memorial Scholarship is for students who wish to further their experiences in the Basque culture, who plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits), and have minimum 3.0Â GPA.
Frank and Winifred Ascuaga Memorial Scholarship (Boise State)
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
- Full-time enrollment (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits)
- Minimum 3.0Â GPA
- Preference given to Notus High School graduates

The Jim Jausoro Memorial Scholarship is for students who plan to be full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 grad credits) and have a minimum 2.5Â GPA. Students must be enrolled or have taken at least three credits in Basque Studies or a related internship or program, or study abroad in Basque country.

Jose Mari Beristain Basque Studies Memorial Scholarship
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3.2Â GPA
- Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)
- Studying aboard in Basque country or has taken 6 credits in Basque Studies or related internship or program
- Preference to students who have actively participated in Basque American Diaspora Community. Examples: North American Basque Organizations Udaleku (summer Basque cultural camps), Ateak Ireki (study abroad living with Basque host families), or being members of Basque dance or music groups.
Pete Cenarrusa Memorial Scholarship (Boise State)
The Pete Cenarrusa Memorial Scholarship us for students who are enrolled in Basque Studies courses, related programs, or study abroad to Basque country. Students must be enrolled or have taken at least three credits in Basque Studies or related internship or program, plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits), and have a minimum 2.5Â GPA.

Richard & Adelia Simplot Scholarship
The Richard & Adelia Simplot Scholarship was established in 1977 to honor the late Richard Simplot and his wife Adelia. Richard was the eldest son of JR and Esther Simplot and an executive with the Simplot company. He was named to the Board of Directors in August 1970. Adelia and Richard met in 1953 and started their family at the same time they were starting their careers with the Simplot Company. When the couple moved to Boise in 1959 Adelia became involved in community organizations. She found a passion for community development and joined the board of directors of several institutions and worked to save historic landmarks in Boise, including much of what is now known as the Basque Block.

The American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) regularly offers scholarships for future French teachers.
Alice Vetter Ashcroft Scholarship (Boise State)
The Alice Vetter Ashcroft Scholarship is for students who are at least the second year of undergraduate study or in graduate study, and are majoring in either English Teaching or French, Secondary Education, plan to enroll at least part-time (6 undergraduate credits, 5 grad credits), and have a 3.00Â GPA.

The John Robertson French Scholarship recipient is for junior or senior students majoring in French, who plan to enroll full-time (12Â UGRD, 9Â GRAD), and have a 3.00Â GPA. The Phil Toomey World Languages Scholarship is for students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in German language or the teaching of German language, who plans to enroll full time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 grad credits), are a U.S. citizen that preferably have a permanent residence in Idaho, have a minimum 3.0Â GPA, and demonstrate financial need. In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

- Seniors in the College of Education
- Enrolled in student teaching semester and seeking teacher certification in elementary or secondary education.

Jill Hella Student Teacher Scholarship (Boise State)
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

Lead with Languages Teacher Scholarship
As the inaugural initiative of the Lead with Languages Scholarship Fund, this award provides merit-based scholarships to graduating high school seniors committed to pursuing the language teaching profession in languages other than English.
The program provides recipients with an award of $1,500 per academic year. Scholarships may be renewed three times following the initial award, for a cumulative total of $6,000 per recipient.
