Fátima Maria Cornwall arrived from the Azores Islands, Portugal, in 1993, and enrolled at Boise State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 2002. In 2007 she earned her Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of California – Santa Barbara. She has been at Boise State since 2002 and currently teaches Spanish upper-division courses, including Introduction to Court Interpretation. She is a federal and state certified court interpreter for Spanish and Portuguese, as well as a certified medical interpreter for Spanish.
