Pictured here is one of the groups participating in the language immersion program, along with Arantza Ugalde, Spanish Lecturer in the Department of World Languages. “All students featured in the picture have signed social media release forms, so the picture can be used! These are Dual Language 5th graders (Spanish/English) students in the picture.”

The Department of World Languages welcomed around 120 fifth graders from Kuna’s Reed Elementary School on Friday, April 14th.   Around half of these elementary school students are enrolled in dual-language programs, which spurred a special request to World Languages.  Students were able to learn about what languages are taught, ask questions about language opportunities both during and after attending the university, and experience the World Languages Resource Center firsthand.
