Last July, Fatima Cornwall, Spanish language coordinator in the world languages department, presented virtually at the AELFE TAPP 2021 Conference: Multilingual Academic and Professional Communication in a Networked World that was held in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Spain. Her presentation was titled “Beyond the Ivory Tower: Interpreting and Translating in and for the Community” and focused on the community based learning experiences her students participated in with Genesis Community Health, a nonprofit medical clinic for low income, uninsured individuals in Idaho.
