Call for Entries
Boise State University’s Basque Studies Program welcomes participation in this photo contest. It is open to all Boise State
University and Idaho high school students to capture the Basques in Idaho through the lens of the camera.
About the Contest
Idaho treasures its rich history of Basque migrants, who for over a century have been part of communities statewide. “The Basque Places of Idaho” photo contest will be an academic and artistic cultural journey for students. It is an educational opportunity for students to analyze “landscapes” through the lens of the Basques. Through these photos, we will learn how places of cultural diversity can evoke “Sense of Place,” and how those places can be a bridge to better understanding the value of ethnic diversity in our local communities.
This photo contest is your chance to visually capture cultural diversity through place, language, and people: literally, through the lens of the Basques!
