Fatima Cornwall, Spanish language coordinator in the Department of World Languages and a state and federally certified court interpreter, oversaw the Idaho Supreme Court’s annual Ethics and Written Exam Preparation Workshop on Saturday, April 13 at Boise State.
Andrew Campbell, statewide language access manager, welcomed prospective court interpreters from five different counties, representing two different languages to campus. Idaho Supreme Court Justice Gregory Moeller delivered opening remarks. Moeller stressed the importance of the role of court interpreters in guaranteeing access to justice and equal protection under the law for people with limited English proficiency.
