Holiday hours are automatically entered and approved for applicable benefit eligible employees. View this year’s holiday and payday calendars here.
Hourly benefit eligible employees should not enter hours worked on paid holidays unless they work them. If the official holiday closure day is the employee’s normal day off, the employee is allowed to switch to another day off for the holiday as long as:
- The hours switched are in the same work week, or
- The hours switched match hour for hour.
- You will receive holiday pay (HOL) for the holiday; do not code anything on the day you do not work in exchange.
If working during holiday closures, hourly employees should update their time card as outlined in the above scenarios by editing their time card to make necessary adjustments and salaried employees should remove the holiday hours from their existing absences.
