Step 1: State of Idaho Risk Management Bond Application for State Employees
- Complete the Bond Application (PDF) to determine your eligibility to be bonded by the Risk Management Program.
- Must be signed by your supervisor.
- Email completed form to Dept of Administration, Risk Management Program at notary@admin.idaho.gov.
Step 2: Notary Public Bond Certificate
- Once your state employment is verified, you will receive an email with your Notary Public Bond Certificate issuing you a bond/assurance number. You will need this for your full application.
- Must be signed by a witness, preferably your supervisor.
Step 3: State of Idaho Notary Public Application
- Complete the State of Idaho Notary Public Application, either digitally (Notary Public Application) or hard copy (Notary Public Application PDF). Under Part 3, Surety Company Name should be Risk Management Program. Your bond number is listed on your Notary Public Bond Certificate.
- Must be notarized before a Notary Public.
- Mail completed Notary Public Application along with original signed Notary Public Bond Certificate to: Office of the Secretary of State, P.O. Box 83720 Boise, ID 83720-0080
- All filing fees for State Government employees are waived.
Step 4: Notary Filing Acknowledgement
- Once approved, you will receive an acknowledgement letter, along with your Notary Public Commission certificate.
Step 5: Order your Notary Stamp and Journal
- You may order from a vendor of your choice, but ODP is preferred. You will need your commission number and term start/expiration dates to order your stamp.
