Lowell Elementary Students in 2012
What is the ambitious goal of this project?
Undergraduates and elementary school students collaborate to produce a performance of an abridged Shakespeare play. Knowledge of Shakespeare is power in the form of cultural capital. This program improves access to that power for all.
Experience Gained
A great experience for designers, makers, and the all-around adventurous. Build skills in:

Majors and Interests Needed
We are looking for students interested in working with children (10-12 year olds) and a willingness to both work hard and have fun! Any/All majors welcome! This project might be specifically appealing to students in these majors:

Building a legacy of learning
Dr. Hansen has been coordinating Shake It Up After School since 2006! Only students in his ENGL 345 course where able to participate, but now any student is able to join the team through this VIP.
