What is the ambitious goal of this project?

Create a plan and implement specific actions that will eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from campus.

Experience Gained

Students will understand the full scope of Boise State’s greenhouse gas emissions. They will analyze the most impactful actions. Students will implement at least one project on campus to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and in the process will learn about the challenges and complexities of eliminating fossil fuels.

Preferred preparation: None. Projects will be based on skills and interest of students.

VIP Coach Information

Dr. Amy Moll is a professor in the college of engineering. Her research background is in the materials that are used in semiconductor devices and microelectronics. She is also passionate about practical projects that improve the sustainability of campus.

Course Information

VIP  200, VIP 400, VIP 401 or VIP 500
Full semester course. Choose to enroll in 1 or 2 credits.
Team meetings: In-person, meeting times to be decided once students register
