This program is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Our criteria for admission to the fellowship adhere to NSF requirements.
The Bridge to the Doctorate fellowship aims at increasing the number of well-qualified individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) earning their graduate degree.
Qualifications
- Admission to a Boise State STEM Master’s or doctoral program for fall 2025. Preference will be given to candidates who will pursue a doctoral degree. For a list of eligible programs, please follow this link.
- Be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or permanent resident.
- Evidence of participation in any Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program across the country. This will generally come in the form of confirmation from the LSAMP Director/Coordinator at the candidate’s undergraduate institution.
