Benefits and Compensation

The Bridge to the Doctorate program aims to support students as they enter a new stage in their education. In addition to financial support, the program seeks to develop a community of support, engagement, and development through the duration of the fellowship.

Financial Benefits

  • Students will earn a yearly stipend of $32,000, distributed every month for the first two years of the program.
  • Students are also eligible to receive up to $12,000 annually as a supplement for tuition and fees for the first two years of the program.
  • Students who continue to make progress towards their degree will receive additional funding support at a unit level through graduation.

Additional Support

  • Students will develop a community with other fellows and the staff of the program.
  • Students will have access to enriched academic and research opportunities.
  • Students will have the opportunity to connections with outside faculty and industry leaders for unique mentoring opportunities.
  • Students will have the opportunity to participate and present in annual conferences, such as the Graduate Showcase.
