Recruiting Undergraduate Students

Once you have identified your available pathways for working with undergraduate students, it is time to get the word out. Here are a few ways:

• Create a post on Handshake.
• Advertise on the Open Research Opportunities page: This is a regularly updated page of research opportunities, both on and off campus, that are shared with us. Fill out this google form so we can add your opportunity to this page.
• Use social media: Create a clear and compelling social media post. Include contact information and tag relevant social media accounts.

• Utilize internal channels: Write a blurb about your opportunity and share with department chairs, administrative and other staff for including in department and college communication.

• Include in email signature: If you have shared your opportunity with us for the Research Opportunities page, you will have an online link. Use this link in your email signature to get more eyes on it.
