Society for Ecological Restoration Great Basin Chapter
Description
The Society for Ecological Restoration Great Basin Chapter is offering research funding for undergraduate or graduate students. Multiple awards of up to $1,000 will be awarded in early summer of 2024.
All proposed projects with any relevance to ecological restoration of habitats or species that occur in the Great Basin will be considered.
These awards are being given to support field and/or laboratory research completed between June 2024 – May 2025. Students who receive awards will be asked to deliver an oral presentation (in person or remote) to the SER-Great Basin Chapter at a chapter meeting or conference in 2025, with conference travel support available from SER-GB’s Doescher Memorial Fund if needed.
Application Instructions
Submit the following, as a single PDF, to mark.brunson@usu.edu no later than May 15th 2024 to receive full consideration.
- Two-page Research Proposal, including:
- Overview of how the proposed research will provide new scientific insight with management relevance for Great Basin species/ecosystems
- Methodology for the proposed research
- Proposed budget, with a breakdown of costs
- Half-page Student Statement, including brief biography, future career goals, and how the research will contribute to overall career path
- Student Resume or CV, including degree program information (school, department, degree, major, advisor)
