Boise State University is a proud educational partner of Amazon’s Career Choice program. Through the partnership, eligible Amazon employees may use their employment benefits to help fund their undergraduate education at Boise State. Students may start at Boise State or choose to start at the College of Western Idaho and transfer when the time is right.

How to use Amazon Career Choice benefits:

Step 1: Apply to Boise State and enroll in classes.

Step 2: Request payment from Amazon Career Choice.

1. Log in to Amazon A to Z and submit a payment request for your chosen program and courses at Boise State.
2. The request will be sent to the student financials office which will confirm your enrollment matches your request made to Amazon. Their office will either approve or deny the request.
3. If your request is approved, Amazon will pay the funds to Boise State directly.
4. When the add/drop period for your courses is over, Boise State will apply the approved funds to your tuition and fee balances. Any remaining tuition balance is the student’s responsibility.

United Way

Boise State University is proud to hold a partnership with United Way of Treasure Valley (UWTV). This partnership provides a thoughtful approach to reaching students and increasing access to higher education in Idaho. Together, Boise State and UWTV will enhance their combined missions, empowering students, organizations and communities to drive positive change.

UWTV has served as a national example of positive partnerships since 2002, leveraging data to make informed choices for its partners and the community. By connecting us with select organizations that may benefit from our educational opportunities, Boise State is better able to meet the educational needs of the Treasure Valley.

Extended Studies serves community members from adolescence through retirement, encouraging generational impact within families. Partnership with UWTV is an authentic effort to extend higher education to those at any age who are making a difference in Idaho and help to improve their social and economic vitality.

Non-Traditional Educator Preparation Program

Boise State’s Division of Extended Studies supports the mission of the College of Southern Idaho’s Non-Traditional Educator Preparation Program (NTEPP).

NTEPP gives Magic Valley students the opportunity to complete an online bachelor’s degree to meet the education prerequisite for admission into the NTEPP program, creating a completely online pathway to become a K-12 classroom educator.

The program utilizes nationally recognized best practices throughout its instructional modules and performance assessments that are aligned with Idaho state standards and the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching Clusters. These modules can be accessed at any time and from anywhere in the state.

The program’s emphasis on hands-on training and individualized, consistent support for candidates provided by a highly skilled mentor is what sets it apart. CSI’s teacher preparation program aims to address Idaho’s current teacher shortage by ensuring more flexible and robust training options to support emergency hires throughout Idaho school districts. Additionally, the program aims to expand its reach and partner with districts to proactively create and fill local teacher pipelines.
