    Assistant Professor

    Safa Sarvestani is an interdisciplinary artist from Iran. She earned her BFA in theatre from
    Tehran University and her MFA from the University of Minnesota. Her work has been exhibited
    both nationally and internationally, including in Iran, the USA, Scotland, France, Walker Art
    Center in Minneapolis, Plains Museum of Art in Fargo, Southern Theatre, and Rarig Art Center,
    among others.

    Her artistic practice revolves around the concept of mobility, delving into the spaces between
    bodies and the areas within and around them. She is particularly interested in exploring socio-
    political issues that are in a state of constant flux, serving as the foundation for her creative
    endeavors.
