    Known for his work in thrillers and dramas, Doug Campbell has directed over 57 feature films, mostly for television.  He has also directed 18 hours of network television, several short subjects and a handful of commercials. Also a screenwriter, Doug has written over 31 feature screenplays that have been produced. Doug grew up in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles, making his first Super-8 when he was 14. After studying under Sandy Mackendrick at California Institute of the Arts, Doug wrote and directed his first feature at age 24. An actor’s director, Doug runs a well-organized, fun, fast-paced set, and his films are consistently on-time and on-budget. In 2003 Doug began teaching film directing, screenwriting and acting for film. Over the past 20 years has taught at four colleges: Tokyo Film Center College of Arts, Academy of Art University in San Francisco, his alma mater Cal Arts, and now at Boise State University. He lives in the Los Angeles area, where he continues to make films, and commutes every week to BSU.
