24-25 Gonzaga University Zero Emission Transportation Coordinator

The Zero Emission Transportation Coordinator will support Gonzaga University’s mission to care for the planet by educating the campus community about alternative commuting as a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They will develop and deliver campus and community workshops on alternative commute options including bussing, biking, and vanpooling; create materials to support workshops, educate the public, and promote participation in commute trip reduction efforts; collaborate with community partners focused on active transportation; coordinate the university’s Commute Trip Reduction survey.

Senior Manager of Smart Buildings

Reporting to the Director of Facilities Engineering, the Senior Manager of Smart Buildings is responsible for the overall implementation of the District Smart Building Initiative including creating dashboards, production of automated utility resource reports, and integration of District Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Operational Technology (OT) to maximize effectiveness, sustainability, and efficiency of all related building systems.

Nonpermanent Sustainability Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Sustainability Officer, the Sustainability Coordinator (SC) is responsible for the daily coordination and direction of the Sustainability Program, including education, engagement, and projects across Central Washington University (CWU) and within the local community. The SC will help support and lead CWU’s student peer-to-peer educator programming as well as coordinate campus sustainability projects, events, and presentations, and communication. In addition, they will coordinate campus-wide engagement and outreach in collaboration with CWU staff, faculty, students, and the local community. The SC will help coordinate and implement new CWU sustainability initiatives and our Climate Change Action Plan, with the intention to infuse sustainability values across campus culture, empower future generations of sustainability professionals, and build a more sustainable future at CWU. All CWU employees are expected to support CWU’s commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment. This opportunity is a non-permanent, one-year, full-time position. However, CWU is seeking to secure funding to establish a permanent SC position
