Only officially recognized Boise State Student Organizations and departments may request the opportunity to place donation drives in the Student Union Building and Interactive Learning Center.
Drives must be requested at least 14 calendar days prior to desired start date. Decisions will be communicated in writing by Student Union leadership.
Drives may not exceed 2 weeks (14 calendar days) in duration, with all items removed from the Student Union or Interactive Learning Center by 11 p.m. on final day of drive.
Collection bins will not be provided by the Student Union. Bins should clearly marked with information about the drive. Signage on the box or bins should include information about the cause, the sponsoring department(s) or organization(s), contact information for the Boise State sponsoring organization, dates of the drive, and the types of items that can be donated to the drive. Sinage may not be hung on walls or obstuct walkways and entrances.
Collection bins may not obstruct walkways and entrances, must be freestanding, and cannot be placed on existing furnishings, rails, counters, or other fixtures. Bin openings should be positioned at waist height.
Only nonperishable, sealed, clean/laundered items are allowed for collection in approved philanthropy drives. Cash donations and/or checks may not be collected through this process.
The Student Union is not responsible for lost or damaged drive items.
The Sponsoring Boise State Department or officially Student Organization may be held responsible in the event of damage caused to the facility as a result of the drive.
