General Use Computers and Printing
The Student Union provides 33 general access computer stations throughout the Student Union. These stations allow Boise State students, faculty, and staff to check email, surf the web, and have access to numerous software programs. All stations have the ability to print. Printing is also available at The Zone.
Internet and Power Access in the Student Union
The Student Union offers both secured and unsecured wireless network access as well as LAN access and power stations.
Bronco-Guest is an unrestricted wireless network designed to allow open and easy access to internet resources. Bronco-Guest does not require a username or password; therefore it is an unsecured network.
Eduroam is an encrypted wireless network requiring you to authenticate once with your Boise State username and password. You will not have to authenticate again until the next time you reset your password.
LAN and power connections are available in the main dining area on the first floor, with additional connections available in the various lounges throughout the building. All LAN connections are clearly labeled with an identification plate next to the table.
Laptop Checkout Program
The Student Union offers a Laptop Checkout Program at The Zone. To check out a laptop you must be a currently enrolled Boise State University student. This service is free to students, with the exception of late fees or fees related to computer damage.
