Why Events at Boise State?
Events undoubtedly create a memorable experience for our students. I love helping to shape those experiences and see them to fruition. Working in the Student Union as a student changed my career path and I arguably learned more in my job than in the classroom at times. Understanding that opportunity, I’m inspired to foster and create that same opportunity for Boise State students.

KATARINA MYERS
Event Scheduling and Management Supervisor
I am passionate about all things events. In my spare time, you can find me planning my epic Halloween yard skeleton scenes, or a Gottcha Day party for my spoiled shelter lab, Moose, and obsessing over True Crime. Outside of events, I can be found supporting the Idaho Humane Society, stand-up paddleboarding at the river, camping throughout Idaho, or trying out the newest restaurants in the Treasure Valley.
Education & Event Experience:
I joined the University Event Services team in 2019. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Boise State University, so I have experienced Boise State events firsthand! Prior to joining University Event Services I worked with the Downtown Boise Association helping with events such as the Alive After Five Summer Concert Series. I am a Certified Event Planning Specialist and at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I pursued and completed my certification as a Virtual Event Planner.
Ask Me About:
- Availability and getting your event booked
- How to deliver a creative product on a limited budget
- Working as a student employee in the SUB
- Emerging trends in the event industry that can help you make your event stand out

Why Events at Boise State?
I feel so lucky to be a part of the Boise State campus community, being steps away from the downtown buzz and alongside the beautiful Boise River, this campus has so much to offer. As my primary focus is working with the students to plan events that impact their college experience, I am energized by their fresh outlook and innovative ideas. The diversity of events that I get to help with keeps every day interesting.
