Information Desk Attendant

The Information Desk Attendant serves as the face of the Student Union and Boise State University. Attendants will provide accurate information about all aspects of Boise State and assist in delivering Information Desk and Bronco Card services. Averages 10-15 hours per week including monthly staff meetings, and evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Greet customers, visitors, and community members in a friendly and inviting manner.

2. Use available resources: websites and database resources to share directory information; hours of operation; information about departments and services; events on the campuses; and events in the building.

3. Provide Information Desk services such as meal plans and dining dollars.

4. Coordinate the lost and found procedures.

5. Record daily counts and complete nightly reconciliation of all transactions recorded at the Information Desk.

6. Assist with promotional services coordinated through the Information Desk.

7. Understand emergency procedures and report emergencies or unusual behavior to the Manager on Duty.

8. Learn to operate different software that is critical to the services provided at the Information Desk.

9. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours (undergraduate) or 5 credit hours (graduate) per semester during the academic year.

2. Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
