Join the Idaho Center for the Book at Albertsons Library, Friends of Minidoka, the Boise State’s department of history, the local chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League and the National Japanese American Historical Society to discuss Facing the Mountain by Daniel James Brown, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Boys in the Boat.
This event is being held in conjunction with The Go For Broke Spirit: Portraits of Legacy by Shane Sato, an exhibit about the veterans of the same unit featured in Facing the Mountain.
You aren’t required to read (or finish!) the book to attend. The event is FREE and open to the PUBLIC. Paid parking is available in the Lincoln Avenue Garage and Brady Street Garage.
