Late nights, cram sessions and the scramble to finish projects and papers – hello, finals week! With just days away from winter break, it’s easy to get caught up in the madness of finals week. Just don’t forget to breathe, sleep, and take a break or two with these 5 1/2 Finals Relief ideas:
1) Snuggle some puppies
Get some puppy love from members of local therapy and service dog programs in the Atrium in the Student Union Building, Monday—Thursday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
2) Decorate cookies and gingerbread houses
Need a break and a sweet treat? Head to Buster’s Kitchen on Monday at 11 a.m. for some creative gingerbread house making and on Tuesday at 11 a.m. for a DIY cookie decorating party.
3) Use those helpful resources
The library has extended hours, the Writing Center is open for appointments or drop ins, and the Advising and Academic Support Center is always here to help.
4) Restore with fitness
Replenish your energy with a fitness class at the Rec Center. Every day of the week you can relax with some yoga, do some cardio in a cycle class, or get strong with a total body strength class. Check out the class schedule, sign up for a class, and bring some friends.
5) Celebrate!
Commencement, the ultimate end-of-finals celebration, is Saturday, December 14 in the Extra Mile Arena. If you can’t be there in person, it’ll be live streamed so you can celebrate virtually. Round of applause for all our Broncos getting those diplomas. You did it!
5 1/2) Get ready for winter break
Pack up to take a month-long vacation or hangout here in Boise and stay warm. If you’re sticking around, check out the Outdoor Program for ski and snowboarding trips and shuttles to Bogus.
