We don’t have to reiterate that this has been a crazy semester for all of us, but we’re going to. So, let’s just take a step back and remind ourselves how awesome it is that all of us made it through fall/winter 2020. To fully appreciate and further learn from this experience, we’ve collected some wisdom, quotes, and motivation that kept these winter 2020 grads going during their final semester. Congratulations graduates! You did it!
1) Emma Freitas
“The most important thing to learn in college is how to say “no” when your plate was full. Don’t feel bad when you can’t take every opportunity that comes your way.”
2) Karson Schenk
“Whenever I’m struggling, I think about how impressed ten-year-old me would be, if they could see my current life.”
3) Bethany Wynn
“My favorite quote/line of wisdom is by Christopher Robin to Pooh Bear ‘Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.’ ”
4) Diego Casillas
“I think the thing that really kept me going was just reminding myself that I am already at the end of this 4-5 year race and these are the final strides, so just push through it. You have overcome so many obstacles, what’s a few more? This is a difficult time for all of us and you making it this far goes to show how capable you are.”
5) Juan Leon
“I will be the first college graduate in my family and make my parents proud.”
5 ½) Bonus Tip: Logan Potter
“The biggest factor influencing your future is you, so take a breath and foster your own growth, no matter the moment we are graduating into.”
