You’re back! Or you’re here for the first time! Either way, you made it to Bronco Welcome and we’re all so happy and excited for you. We’re anxious to see what great things this semester and 2024 will bring, so it’s time to get the ball rolling. Here are some ways you can get prepared, meet people, and stay active throughout and get the most out of Bronco Welcome.

1) Stay active at the Recreation Center

The Outdoor Program Climbing Gym is offering free Intro to Climbing classes 2 – 8 p.m. starting Monday, January 13 for the first two weeks of the semester to ensure all students can utilize the gym and have access to proper instruction. Make sure you sign up early to secure your spot!

2) Order your class materials

It’s a good idea to order your class materials online. Of course, you can still walk in and buy what you need, but ordering ahead of time just makes things faster and easier. You can find steps to access your personalized booklist on the Bronco Shop website.

3) Say “yes” to meeting new people

On January 13 , go to the dorm quad from 6 – 8 p.m. for Neighborhood Night. Adjusting to you new surroundings can take some time so play games, make new friends and join in on the various events happening across campus to find belonging.

4) Take care of all your to-dos

We’ve compiled a helpful list of resources of popular offices and departments at the beginning of each semester. Get your stuff in order—like textbooks, Bronco Card, advising appointments, meal plans, parking, finances. Check out the Student Life website to discover more resources based on your interests.

5) Hot Cocoa Social

Warm up to the new semester with a hot chocolate and good company at the Hot Cocoa Social on the Quad on January 13 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. There will be pre-movie trivia, pink popcorn, pink drinks, and more!

5 ½) You did it!

There’s a lot of things to check off of every student’s list before school starts and that is definitely overwhelming, but you’ve done it. A new semester is here! Celebrate yourself, and have a great semester!
