Bogus Basin is known for being Boise’s favorite ski resort, but this mountain has more to offer than just wintertime activities. Instead of waiting around to hit the slopes, take advantage of this mountain’s outdoor recreation in the summertime! Follow @bogusbasin on Instagram and read the 5 ½ things you can do at Bogus during the summer season.

1) Hike the beautiful trails

Enjoy nature in the cool mountain air by trekking on one of the dozens of hiking trails at Bogus Basin. Start by looking at the summer trail map and head to the trailhead for your next adventure. Enjoy the beautiful drive along the way too! Want more hiking suggestions? Check out some more of the best hiking trails around Boise.

2) Bike through the mountains

Explore the mountain terrain, dart through the trees and catch air on some jumps on a mountain bike whether you’re a beginner or a professional. Visit the Basin Gravity Park, Idaho’s fastest-growing bike park, and enjoy a scenic outing on the cross-country mountain biking trails. Need a bike or a tune-up? Our friends at the Cycle Learning Center can hook you up. And we happen to know  5 ½ Things about the Cycle Learning Center that could help you out.

3) Ride the chairlift and take in the view

It doesn’t have to be snowing for you to enjoy a leisurely ride on the chairlift. Bogus offers chairlift rides so you can get an aerial view of the breathtaking scenery and lush nature. You can purchase a single-ride ticket or an all-day ticket. Then you’re free to roam the mountain whether you choose to hike, bike, or relax at the top.

4) Catch a summer event

Many special events are happening on Bogus this summer, including a concert series, mountain bike and foot races, and yoga on the mountain. Check out the Bogus Basin website for the latest events. You won’t want to miss out on the fun!

5) Try an adventurous attraction

Are you feeling daring? Test your abilities (and tolerance of heights) on the mineshaft challenge course. Challenge your friends at the stack rock climbing wall, tube down 300-foot lanes on the sourdough slider, or even bungee jump in the sky on the launch pad. There’s an activity for everyone!
