About the Survey

The School of Public Service at Boise State University resumed a polling tradition in Idaho with the 2016 Idaho Public Policy Survey Presentation. The annual survey, conducted in January, asks a statistically significant sample of Idaho adults about public policy issues of interest to researchers, the media and the public.

Topics surveyed include education, the economy, general satisfaction, the environment, immigration and transportation.

Boise State conducted a prior public policy survey from 1990 through 2011, now archived at Boise State’s Albertsons Library. Because of changes in methodology and sample sizes, the new survey can’t be used in direct comparison with the university’s previous findings, however similar questions were asked in the past about key priorities and the direction of the state.
