The Urban Studies and Community Development program has distinguished faculty that combines research excellence with a strong commitment to undergraduate education and community engagement. Several faculty serve as consultants and advisers to local, regional, state, and national government agencies and community development organizations. Faculty research appears regularly in the discipline’s leading journals and has been supported by grants from such prestigious bodies as the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Science Foundation.
