This is not an exhaustive list of things you should be doing to prepare for law school, but it gives you a good starting point. The Law School Admissions Council also has more information regarding what you should be doing to prepare for Law School.
Timeline and Recommendations
Freshman Year
- Choose a major that interests you! There is no specific degree title requirement to apply for law school.
- Sign up for the Pre-Law Society through Campus Groups
- Commit to your grades. Make sure you are focusing on your courses and choosing courses that you can excel in, but that are also teaching you skills in reading, writing and analysis.
- Avoid disciplinary actions and criminal charges
