March 2025

IPI was lucky in the month of March – we welcomed back a team member from parental leave, took a new team photo, and enjoyed a restful Spring Break. Scroll to take a look at all we got up to last month.

Project Spotlight: HUD Eviction Protection Grant Program

McAllister Hall, Lantz McGinnis-Brown, Vanessa Fry

Over the past three years, IPI has served as the data team for a US Department of Housing and Urban Development Eviction Protection grant awarded to Idaho Legal Aid Services and other partners across the Mountain West, which helped to provide eviction prevention services. Over 4,000 clients were served by the grant, with 58% of recipients located in Idaho.

HUD Project client demographics

Our team found the most common service provided was limited counsel and advice, accounting for at least 50% of all services provided by each organization.

In March, IPI provided project partners with an updated data dashboard, complete with all program data through the end of 2024.

Request for Intern Projects

Is your organization facing a pressing research question — whether it be related to policy, evaluation, or something else — but lack the resources or budget to tackle it? Our students are eager to assist! We’re now accepting project proposals for IPI interns for Summer and Fall 2025. Even if your idea or question isn’t fully developed, we’d love to connect and explore potential partnership opportunities.
