Vanessa Fry, Director of Idaho Policy Institute and Associate Research Faculty in the School of Public Service, was quoted in the newly released Routledge book, Rebuilding the American Town – Design and Strategy at a Small Scale by David Gamble and Patty Heyda. Towns is the sequel to the book, Rebuilding the American City: Design and Strategy for the 21st Century Core (2015). While Cities featured large urban design and planning projects that were catalysts for transforming major downtowns, Towns focuses on smaller communities that implemented creative design strategies to rebuild in vibrant and equitable ways right-sized to their populations. Fry contributed her expertise on housing, growth, and development in Idaho and the Intermountain West during an interview with the book’s authors.
