Idaho Policy Institute Completes Fifth Annual New Path Evaluation

In partnership with Our Path Home and the City of Boise, Idaho Policy Institute recently completed its fifth year of evaluation of the New Path Community Housing. A 40-unit, single-site, Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program, New Path uses a Housing First approach. The evaluation, conducted by IPI team members Vanessa Fry, McAllister Hall, Lantz McGinnis-Brown, and Kristy Spalding, found that New Path has achieved:

  • A reduction in emergency services by 5,569 fewer days
  • Total savings/cost avoidance of $8,852,827
  • An increase in overall program participant well-being
