Danielle Swerin

Danielle Swerin is a Lecturer in Criminal Justice at Boise State University who specializes in victimology and victim services. She earned her M.A. in Criminal Justice from Boise State University along with a Graduate Certificate in Victim Services.  She has worked in the victim services field for several years in addition to serving as a Senior Research Analyst for Idaho State Police. She co-edited the textbook Victimology: Crime Victimization and Victim Services and recently co-authored an article on Police Response to Children Present at Domestic Violence Incidents published in Child Maltreatment.

  •  ISAKI works to improve response to sexual violence in Idaho by developing guidelines, providing trainings, and examining legislation. The group is comprised of individuals throughout Idaho who have experience and expertise on the topic of sexual violence.

Idaho State Police Forensic Services

  • Collaborated with the Idaho Statistical Analysis Center to create a survey and internal report for Idaho State Police Forensic Services to help identify barriers to submitting reference samples for analysis.

Ada County Domestic Violence Court 

  • Created a data tracking spreadsheet to help the Court gather relevant information about their cases and access pre-formulated statistics
