Real-world experiences
Students in the Conflict Management program have the option of choosing between two different internship pathways in mediation services – with the Ada County Courthouse, or with Conflict Support Services at Boise State.
Ada County Courthouse
For over 20 years, the Conflict Management program has provided student mediators to the Ada County Courthouse, and 4th district court. Our student interns provide mediation services for small claims court, eviction court, and magistrate court.

Eviction Court: Tuesday/ Thursday, 8:30 AM
Small Claims Court: Wednesday/ Friday, 8:45 and 11 AM
Students can choose any combination of those for their hours.
Prerequisite: must have Conflict 402 finished prior to internship.
Conflict Support Services
Conflict Support Services utilizes student staff, primarily Peer Mediators and interns, to provide conflict management services to students. Peer Mediators and Interns handle Conflict Alerts, consulting with students about their concerns and talking through options for effectively addressing the conflict.
