ICA Published “Successes and Barriers Identified by Public Health Professionals Engaging Hispanic Communities” in the Journal of Latinx Psychology
Recognizing that aging populations are growing more diverse every year, Center for the Study of Aging staff Adrian Rodriguez, BAPH, CHES, Dr. Taylor Neher and Dr. Sarah Toevs pursued the question, “How have public health programs successfully implemented public health interventions within the Hispanic population?” This report highlights the need to recognize barriers and cultural values that are unique to this population during intervention development.
ICA Hispanic Advisory Committee
The Hispanic Advisory Committee is a group of organizations and professionals passionate about expanding caregiver resources to the Spanish caregiver population. This group has helped ICA host two in-person caregiver conferences entirely in Spanish designed for this population.
