Lasich joined the School of Public and Population Health in Spring 2014. She completed her undergraduate work at Oregon Health Science University in Nursing and her Masters at Oregon State University in International Public Health with an emphasis on Women’s Health Development. Lasich is a Registered Nurse and has worked throughout the United States in emergency, pediatrics and medical surgical units. Prior to academia, she was employed as science support staff with the National Science Foundation in Antarctica.

Fall semester 2016, Lasich served as a visiting professor for Boise State with the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) in San Ramon, Costa Rica. She taught Global Women’s Health and Global Environmental Health. She now serves as the Health Sector Advisor for students interested in the Peace Corps Prep program here at Boise State and volunteers as an RN at a local community clinic.

Lasich is committed to inspiring responsible healthcare providers and to helping students incorporate the intersection of race, birthplace, gender, culture and socioeconomic status into the biomedical paradigm, in order to have a holistic and global perspective of health and wellness.

Lasich enjoys spending time with family, running, biking, international travel, and outdoor expeditions.
