Clinical Associate Professor

Travis Armstrong is a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Public and Population Health (SPPH).  Prior to joining the SPPH, Travis spent seven years within the Boise State Department of Radiologic Sciences where he served as the Clinical Coordinator in the Diagnostic Radiology program. Travis has spent approximately twenty years working in medical imaging in Boise as well as at a variety of locations throughout the western United States to include the University of Washington Medical Center and the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

Beyond his time working in healthcare, Travis has enjoyed a summer working for the Forest Service embedded in the beautiful and vast Frank Church River of No Return wilderness and time with a nonprofit in Logan, Utah providing outdoor recreation opportunities for people with disabilities.

Travis finds great fulfillment in helping students achieve their academic and professional goals through mentorship and connecting students to programs and resources that support their journey. Beyond teaching in the SPPH, Travis also serves as the Faculty in Residence for the BroncoFit Living and Learning Community where he leads curriculum and activities surrounding wellness for first year students.

In his free time Travis can often be found outdoors exploring public lands. Passions include running and mountain biking on the trails as well as skiing the slopes, paddling the rivers, and motorcycle touring in the Idaho backcountry.  Travis loves to share these experiences with friends and family.
