Soil conservation in the Western US

“The health of soil, plant, animal and man is one and indivisible.”

Sir Albert Howard

Soil is sacred: a vital part of human’s existence on this planet. There are many things out of our control, but soil health is not one of them.

Welcome to the Soil CoRE project website, a U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Services (USDA-NRCS) funded program intended to help provide information, resources, and training for producers, professionals, and others that are interested in Conservation Evaluation Monitoring Assessment (CEMA 221) of carbon in soils. On this website, you will find resources pertinent to your involvement as a grower, rancher, or farmer; how you can get involved as a Qualified Individual that measures carbon in a producer’s field, or even why carbon in the soil is an important considering for soil health.
