Bio
Carolina Valderrama-Echavarria joined the faculty of the Sociology Department in 2014. She earned a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in History from Boise State University and holds a Certificate in Marketing Strategies from Cornell University. Her graduate thesis focused on the lack of community building among diasporic communities in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Her areas of interest include community development, social fragmentation, and the manifestations of historical trauma.
