Dr. Jennifer Obenshain received her DSW in clinical practice and leadership from University of Tennessee Knoxville and her MSW from Boise State University. Her main area of research is in comparing student achievement in traditional brick-and-mortar MSW programs to online MSW programs. In addition to teaching practice courses, Dr. Obenshain has advanced training and teaches in bioethics and social work ethics and serves as an ethics consultant on ethically complex pediatric medical situations in the valley. She has also served in social work leadership and program development positions for the majority of her professional career.
Dr. Obenshain has over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and her practice experience includes public service in child protection and children’s mental health, pediatric medical social work, and private practice.
