  • Leslie Kendrick

    Leslie Kendrick, MS, RT(R)(CT)(MR)

    Associate Professor, Divisional Dean

    Leslie Kendrick earned an AS in Radiologic Technology, BS in Radiologic Sciences with an emphasis in Computed Tomography, an academic certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and an MS in Educational Technology from Boise State University. Kendrick currently serves as the Divisional Dean for the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences. She is also a Biomolecular Sciences PhD candidate with a research focus on post-concussive symptom resolution and blood biomarkers. Courses taught include principles of radiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, human anatomy and pathology.  CV available upon request.

    Monica earned her BS in medical imaging technology from Oregon Institute of Technology and received a Masters of Education in Instructional Design from Western Governors University. Monica holds credentials in radiology, Mammography, CT and MRI and worked for many years in each of those areas. She previously taught numerous radiology and MRI courses for a radiography program in Oregon. Monica is the Program Director for the MRI and CT Programs and will teach the associated MRI and CT baccalaureate courses.  CV available upon request.

    Clinical Instructor / AMI Clinical Coordinator

    Kate Garrett is a highly skilled radiologic sciences professional with nearly 20 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences from Boise State University and an advanced certification in computed tomography. Her broad expertise spans orthopedics, trauma, operating rooms, rural trauma, and CT, equipping her with deep insights into positioning and patient care. Kate transitioned from adjunct professor to her current full-time teaching role and serves as the Clinical Coordinator for the Advanced Medical Imaging program. Her extensive leadership experience as a manager, PACS administrator, and preceptor enriches her impact on developing future imaging professionals.

    Chad Hensley Ph.D.,R.T.(R)(MR)(ARRT)

    Clinical Associate Professor, BSIS Degree Coordinator

    Chad Hensley serves as the degree coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Imaging Sciences program. He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before arriving at Boise State University, he served as both Clinical Coordinator and Program Director at UNLV. Dr. Hensley is certified in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. He teaches courses in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is actively engaged in professional service within the medical imaging community.

    Chad Hensley serves as the degree coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Imaging Sciences program.     Clinical Instructor / Radiography Clinical Coordinator

    Dave LaGuardia earned his A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology from Red Rocks Community
    College in 2009. In 2019, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Imaging Sciences
    from Boise State University. Over a 15-year career, Dave has gained extensive experience in
    Radiologic Technology, including leadership and teaching roles. He is passionate about sharing
    the knowledge he has acquired through both education and real-world experience. In his spare
    time, Dave enjoys spending time with family, playing drums, listening to music, cooking, being
    outdoors, and indulging his passion for enthusiast cars.

    Cathy is the Program Director for the B.S. in Diagnostic Radiology Program.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Education, Training and Development, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology.  She has been ARRT certified and registered in radiography for over 30 years.  Cathy has worked with radiography students her entire career and transitioned from working at a level one trauma center to teaching in 2008.  Prior to her time at Boise State, she was the clinical coordinator and program director for programs in Colorado and Illinois.  She has taught most of the courses offered in the diagnostic radiology program at Boise State; her favorites are Radiation Protection and Biology, and Senior Recitation and Integration.  CV available upon request.

    Natalie Mourant Hodges, MHS, RT(R)(CI)(VI)

    Clinical Associate Professor, AMI Degree Coordinator, Interventional Radiology & Interventional Cardiology Programs Director

    Natalie Mourant Hodges holds a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences and a Master of Health Science in Service Leadership from Boise State University.  In addition, she is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Health Leadership.  Her research focuses on cardiac rehabilitation for secondary prevention of myocardial infarction. She is the Degree Coordinator of the nationwide, online Advanced Medical Imaging program.  She is the architect of the Interventional Radiology and Interventional Cardiology programs and serves as their Program Director. Natalie’s clinical background spans 18 years across interventional radiology, electrophysiology, coronary intervention, as well as endovascular and structural heart procedures. She holds credentials in general radiography, cardiac-interventional, and vascular-interventional imaging and has served in multiple clinical leadership roles within cardiovascular services.  She instructs courses in Pharmacology, Health Promotion and Leadership Capstone, and throughout the Interventional Imaging curriculum.   Natalie serves on national committees with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) where she plays an active role in shaping professional standards and serves as an exam writer for interventional credentialing.  CV available upon request.

Hailey serves as a Clinical Instructor for the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences, drawing on her diverse experience in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, operating rooms, and OB/GYN-focused imaging. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, and traveling the world.

    Business Operations Manager

    Sue is the Business Operations Manager for the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences.  She has been with Boise State since 1997 and joined the Radiologic Sciences team in 1999.  Her role within the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences encompasses administrative duties for the department and the online programs.  When Sue is not working, she is spending time with her granddaughters.  She is also a watercolor artist and a member of the Idaho Watercolor Society, Montana Watercolor Society and Alpine Artists.

When she’s not cheering on the Broncos, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her beloved Goldendoodle, Oliver, and exploring the great outdoors.

Previously, Kristi was a radiologic technologist for 20 years in the Boise area, including St. Luke’s Medical Center for 10 years.  Nine of those years Kristie was the supervisor for the Medical Imaging department at St. Luke’s. Kristie was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana.  Kristie and her husband have three children and one grandson.  Kristie is looking forward to using her 20 plus year’s experience in the field to build relationships in the valley with the many healthcare facilities, universities and students.

    Tara is the Administrative Assistant for the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences.  She has been with Boise State since 2014 having joined the Radiologic Sciences team in August of 2021.  Tara, along with her husband, have three cats, five dachshunds, and three ducks. She enjoys oil painting and writing.  Person is a graduate of Boise State University with a Degree in History.  Her role within the School of Medical Imaging and Radiologic Sciences encompasses administrative duties for the on-campus programs.

    John Lampignano earned his A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology at GateWay Community College, BS in Education from Weber State College, and M.Ed. in Educational Technology at Arizona State University.  He taught at GateWay Community College (GWCC) for 35 years in the Medical Imaging program.  During his tenure at GWCC, he was the director for the Center for Teaching and Learning.  John has worked in various clinical settings to include Level I trauma centers and various hospital imaging centers.  One of his specialties was sports medical in which he worked with Arizona State University Sports Medicine and the Arizona Cardinal Football Club.  At Boise State University, he taught Radiographic Positioning lectures and labs and Comparative Sectional Anatomy.
