Campus Stories

Here is a collection of stories our students have collected. In partnership with Boise State’s Albertsons Library, Shared Stories Lab is building an oral history archive of Bronco stories.

Thank you, participants!

Sharing your story can be intimidating. Shared Stories Lab wants to thank all participants for their openness and willingness to contribute to the project.

Pressbooks Collection

For this oral history collection, student researchers conducted the interviews. They managed the equipment, asked the questions, and designed the collection. This collection is the result of their work.

Students created the interview process guided by two questions for Boise State University community members:

Will you describe your path to where you are now?
What would you want current students to know about your experiences on campus?

Storyboard Stories

Below are stories our team collected using the Storyboard in Albertsons Library. This collection method interwove visual and oral storytelling to answer the question, “How did you get to Boise State University?”

“I’m here at Boise State…And there is less crying involved now.”

Story 1

“That’s where I am, at Boise State now because of the scholarships I got at Borah.”

Story 2

“And friends actually helped me out so my life at BSU was more successful.”
