EnvironmentEnvironmental Studies 121: Introduction to the EnvironmentEnvironmental Studies 121 addresses the interdisciplinary nature of environmental concepts and issues, grounded in the natural sciences, with some attention to social sciences, and policy. Environment Environmental Studies 300: Environmental Management and AnalysisEnvironmental Studies 300 investigates environmental projects carried out by local agencies and organizations, explores how different stakeholders prioritize different environmental issues and how prescribed remedies vary. Examples of service-learning includes tracking water levels and creating a data dashboard to communicate to the public. Available in Fall and Spring semesters.Submit Interest Form
Information TechnologyCyber Operations and Resilience (CORe) Senior CapstoneThe CORe Senior Capstone partners students with community organizations to assist with assessing their digital security, focusing on systems, networks, policies, and practices, and providing recommendations for improved security.

Nonprofit AdministrationMaster of Business Administration (MBA) Senior CapstoneThe MBA Senior Capstone partners students with community organizations to employ learned skills in projects which range from creating best practices/templates, establishing Standardized Operating Procedures, Marketing and Business Plans, or Financial/Accounting Audits. Nonprofit AdministrationHuman Resources Management 408: Employee TrainingHuman Resources 408 covers current trends in employee training. Students research and develop training materials for your organizations. Examples of service-learning includes students researching and developing formal and informal training programs for Our Path Home Connect.Available in Fall and Spring semesters.
Nonprofit AdministrationHuman Resources Management 305: Employee Handbook ProgramStudents in the Human Resource Management class work with organizations to prepare employee or volunteer handbooks. Handbooks will include information on the company’s mission and history and will cover the following topics: selection procedures, discipline and work rules, compensation and benefits, health, safety, security, training, and performance appraisal. Each handbook is customized to the individual organization.

Social ServicesSocial Work 201: Foundations of Social WorkSocial Work 201 is an introduction to generalist social work practice including a history of the profession, an overview of the generalist intervention model with a focus on strengths, engagement, relationship building, exploration of problems, and interviewing.
