More than 100 Boise State faculty across all colleges integrate service-learning (SL) into their classes, providing students with high-impact, experiential learning opportunities to apply course content to real community needs. These SL projects enhance learning, build career readiness, strengthen community engagement, spark lively discussions, and open new avenues for research.

Explore service-learning by viewing the following steps, attend a workshop, or contact director Kara Brascia at karabrascia@boisestate.edu.

What do you want to do?

The following tiles contain all the steps for integrating service-learning into your course. Start by investigating service-learning, then develop your skills through workshops and events. Take time to carefully design your course and connect with community partners. When getting ready to launch, review crucial steps. Later, consider service-learning scholarship.
