They create opportunities for students, faculty, local organizations, and residents to work together toward shared goals.

What role can Service-Learning play in this?

• Service-Learning has a primary objective of exposing students with opportunities to learn about community needs and be a part of addressing them.
• Service-Learning encourages universities to become active, problem-solving partners in their communities.
• Service-Learning can match community needs with community resources: human, research and development, outreach and advocacy, and expanded collaboration.
